Ticket Questions
This page was designed to answer questions regarding badges and ticketing polices.
Festivals in general do get busy and exciting. To make your experience equally
enjoyable below are some frequently asked questions?
What does a badge do for me and what does it get me into?
A badge gets you access to the festival, films, Panels and Parties. It also
provides access to the NYILFF Family Weekend. It includes a special registration
festival package, NYILFF 2007 awards tickets and a festival catalog. The badge
also admits you into industry panels but admission is on a strictly first
come-first serve basis. A badge does not get you into Opening, Closing and
Dominican Night events.
What does a single ticket get me?
Just a movie
What if I have a badge and the film gets sold out?
Seats are held to all badge holders until 10 minutes before Showtime. We cannot
guarantee seats once the film begins.
Does NYILFF oversell?
No we do not. We do make every effort to accommodate everyone. This year the
festival has instituted a strict ticketing policy to prevent any overages.
What if the film I want to see gets sold out?
Never Say "Sold Out" –Even if advance tickets are no longer available, don’t give up—just think DOOR SALES. We admit those standing in the DOOR SALES line approximately 15 minutes prior to a film or panel’s scheduled start time, until a theater is at capacity. The festival screens just about every film twice so everyone has a chance to see a film. We suggest flexibility when you make your own personal movie and event schedule.
Do Films Start on Time?
They do, of course there are some exceptions, but we ask that you
arrive early and please have patience.
Are there any refunds?
There are no refunds or exchanges.
