Standing in the way of matrimonial bliss is Iris’ thuggish ex-boyfriend, Chuy. Bigger problems ensue when Hector accidentally loses Iris’ re-engagement ring. Laughs, high jinks and much misfortune follow as Hector finds himself at a climactic crossroads where looters, riots, catfights and The Lord of the Fingers all collide. Synopsis The Cry is a supernatural thriller based on the legend of La Llorona (The Weeping Mother), an evil spirit said to abduct and kill children. NYPD Detective Scott is struggling to stop a series of child abductions plaguing the city, while he battles the memories of his own son’s death eight years earlier. Called in to interrogate a young mother, Maria, arrested for the drowning murder of her nine month-old daughter, Detective Scott is taunted with chilling details of his own child’s murder – details Maria could not possibly know. The investigation leads him to an old mystic, who reveals the truth: the outbreak of awful crimes is caused by La Llorona.
